Safety Assessment Program (SAP) Training 

Tuesday, May 18th & 19th 

Morning and Afternoon Half day seminar spanning two days

 

There will be two sessions

  1. AM session 8am – 12pm:  Is for those individuals who qualify under the State’s requirements for SAP, link to State approved list:  https://www.caloes.ca.gov/RecoverySite/Documents/SAP%20Approved%20Licenses%20and%20Certificates%20Rev.6.19%20(003).pdf
  2. PM session 1pm- 5pm: Is for those individuals who do not qualify but who wish to learn the SAP processes.

Each session will be held over 2 days

Tuesday & Wednesday

May 18th & 19th

PM session 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Maximum 40 attendees each session


Synopsis
:  The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) Safety Assessment Program (SAP) provides experienced professionals who can quickly evaluate damaged structures, identifying those buildings that people can return to, while marking those that are unsafe or have restricted use.

Class Instructor: Mar Mathews has been a Safety Assessment Program Evaluator / Coordinator since 2004. He became a SAP trainer in 2015 presenting many trainings for ICC and others since. He has responded to the Millbrae Mudslide, San Bruno Fire, and most recently evaluated properties in the CZU fires. He has done building inspection from1986 to 2010 in Millbrae. Currently he works for CSG Consultants the past 11 years performing inspections in Woodside and Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) and other jurisdictions.

Attendees will be provided with the class information about a week before the seminar, so please ensure to include your email address.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations will be allowed up to 2 weeks before the seminar. Refunds will be issued at 75% of the fee or a voucher at full fee for a future seminar within 12 months will be issued. No cancellations within a week of the seminar
