The Building Envelope Half-Day Seminar
Four Mini Topics
The 2013 California Building Standards Code including CALGreen go into effect on January 1, 2014. This in-depth session will focus on the new mandatory changes to CALGreen that will impact both residential and nonresidential occupancies. A comprehensive review of CALGreen including residential and nonresidential building alterations and additions will be addressed along with new voluntary measures as they pertain to electric vehicle charging stations. Participants will also learn about the portions of the code that have been relocated within CALGreen such as definitions, and some commissioning requirements, portions of which have been updated and moved to the 2013 California Energy Code (Part 6).
Learn more about how products and materials are tested to the required standards; the methods available for confirming code compliance, and key information on what to look for while enforcing the code. LUIHSW units are available as Learning Units for AIA.
