Attendees will be given a brief overview of the California Solar Permitting Guidebook, published by the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR); a brief overview of key statutes that affect jurisdictional authority related to Solar PV installations; be presented with ideas to simplify project approval by local code enforcement officials; learn more about the Standard Solar PV Electrical Plans; gain a better understanding of how to apply fire-resistive/fire protection standards to Solar PV assemblies; learn when to classify raised Solar PV support structures as occupied buildings or as mechanical equipment; learn about the integration of State Fire Marshal Solar PV guidelines into the 2013 California Building Code; and more….
